Coyote Canyon

From Borrego Springs, head north on DiGiorgio Road until the pavement ends and start your adventure here!  Conventional vehicles can often go back a few miles but be on the lookout for soft sand and water crossings.  With 4WD continue through the second crossing  and consider a side trip into Collins Valley.  The canyon is full of horse trails and history; Juan Bautista de Anza passed through this route in 1774.  Please note, sections of the canyon close during the summer months -  Please contact the state park for closure information.
