Spring Still Flowering

Previous Next

While the Spring Wildflower Bloom may be "over", with the fields of wildflowers along Henderson Canyon Road, Coyote Canyon, and some other spots somewhat dimensioned, due to the steady occurrence of spring rains many wildflowers and cactus blooms, along with a  "greening" of the desert landscape, can be enjoyed at many of the trails in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The sand verbana at Lute Mesa off S-22 remain impressive. Exploring the washes in this general area you can see a variety of colorful flowers, including blooming prickly pear, ocotillo, and barrel cactus.
