Can’t be sure but we do hope the rains in September, October, and most recently this week will bring on the bloom in Spring 2023. Meanwhile…. we have a surprising and beautiful, if somewhat patchy, showing of verbena and desert sunflowers.

Late fall, early winter is a magical time here in Borrego country. Cool nights and comfortable daytime temperatures are perfect for hiking. You don’t have to travel too deep into Anza-Borrego Desert State Park for some incredible scenery.

Sho-Sho-Me Gallery, Hacienda Del Sol, The House of Borrego Springs East and West Galleries and the Borrego Art Institute are all participating starting on Saturday, November 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for ARTWALK (first Saturday nights through May).

The impressive storm front that passed through the Borrego Valley on Saturday, along with the rain from last month, has blossomed the desert into vibrant shades of green. The ocotillos are almost electric. Barrel cactus, sage and creosote, among others, have bloomed.
